GyroplaneTrain is based at Shobdon in Herefordshire in the glorious countryside under a huge area of unrestricted airspace – ideal for enjoying flight training and the freedom of flight when qualified.

Shobdon has a Flight Information Service run in a professional, friendly and helpful manner by the FISO team and you will soon become confident in correct radio communications.
GyroplaneTrain is run by Tom Galloway who is an FI(G), a qualified gyroplane instructor and a Ground Examiner.

We offer full PPL(G) - private pilot’s licence (gyroplane) training. Students often remark that the joy of flying reminds them of the sense of freedom that driving gave originally but has long since disappeared, in a world of multiple speed limits and congestion.
